Gyeongbok Palace is located in Seoul, Korea, and it was the main and largest palace of the Joseon Dynasty and one of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty.
The palace was built in 1394 by Jeong Do-jeon, a prominent Korean architect at the time, but was burned down and partially destroyed in 1592 as well as 1911.
Today the palace is open to the public, and many Koreans hope to resurrect the original buildings.
